SHIPPING: Orders are shipped USPS Priority 1st class insured. Overseas orders will be quoted individually & will be shipped airmail.  I will not be responsible for lost uninsured mail.

RETURNS: All returns must be made within 5 days of your receipt of order and accompanied by a phone call to me, letting me know the merchandise is being returned. Without a phone call, returns will be refused. NO RETURNS ON LAYAWAYS, NRFB ITEMS, MAGAZINES, BOOKS, OR MIB ITEMS.

MERCHANDISE GRADING SCALE:
Items have been graded as accurately as possible & the following are used for grading
Mint - crispy, clean, looks like just came from the original box
Near mint - very clean, retains most of crispness, looks like it was not played with
Excellent - very clean, very lightly played with
Very good - very clean, played with some, overall very nice condition, displays well
Good - played with, imperfections will be mentioned, something still useful about it

On this page you will find dolls and clothing made during the early years of Barbie production, normally from the late 1950's through the early 1970's. There were hundreds of companies making dolls that looked like Barbie or Bild Lilli, cheaper imitations, but still an important part of the history of Barbie and her clothing. Many of these outfits are near exact copies of Mattel's famous early outfits which is what makes them so interesting. These dolls and clothing are referred to as clones. Some are very rare and hard to find while others turn up more frequently.

There is also a section of homemade clothing of high quality. These are fun to collect and not nearly as expensive as the original Mattel pieces, yet such an important part of the Barbie history of clothing.

BARBIE & FRIENDS CLONE DOLLS

BARBIE CLONES:

BUBBLE CUT: Marked "Made in Hong Kong" on her back, all original face paint with nice full Bubble Cut style hair, twist waist body is near mint overall. She wears white cotton panties, white shoes and a pretty lacy white sheath dress with "British Crown Colony of Hong Kong" label inside. The dress is near mint with a couple of tiny specks of pink on the lace, very hard to see. $20 photo photo

FASHION QUEEN: very kooky doll! This one has no markings. She comes with three wigs that look as if they have never been used. There is also a plastic brown skull cap to put on her head when she has no wigs on but it seems to fall off! She comes with a cotton printed swimsuit (small hole next to the front seam). Face paint is perfect and all original. $45 photo photo photo photo

LIVING BARBIE: Very pretty doll with shiny straight black hair and bangs, stamped Hong Kong on her back, original face paint, three tiny specks of gray under her chin otherwise her body is nice overall. She has a waist that twists and moves forward and backward as a Living Barbie. She wears a black dress with silver threads and white fringe trim, called Twist Dress. It comes with the original silver bag. White shoes complete the set. $35 photo photo

MARCIE MOD MINT IN BOX: Talking Barbie doll clone, one of the nicest ever made. Marcie Mod wears her two piece orange bikini with clear cover up and white high heel open toe shoes. She is mint condition, as are the clothes and box. A perfect mint example of a nice Barbie clone doll. $60 photo photo photo photo photo

PONYTAIL BARBIE: Marked Davtex, Made in Hong Kong, on her back, all original face paint with long strawberry blonde ponytail and full bangs. Her body is excellent overall. She wears white sunglasses, blue shoes and a cotton sundress (Sugar 'n Spice), a copy of Mattel's Cotton Casual. The dress is near mint-mint with a label inside, "Made in the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong". $45 photo photo

SWIRL PONYTAIL BARBIE: face paint all original and perfect. Her hair is gorgeous, black with thin bands of platinum swirls and bangs pulled to one side. Her head is marked on the back neck: EG 20. She wears a generic red nylon swimsuit. Body is excellent to near mint overall with only her feet having some scuff marks. The body on this one is heavy hard vinyl. $42 photo photo

SWIRL PONYTAIL BARBIE: face paint all original and perfect. Her hair is very pretty, dark brown with platinum swirls and bangs pulled to one side. She wears a generic red nylon swimsuit. Body is near mint overall, no markings on her. $30 photo photo

SWIRL PONYTAIL BARBIE: face paint all original and perfect. Markings on back of her neck: EG. Her hair is gorgeous, dark brown with thin platinum swirls and bangs pulled to one side. She wears a pretty dress, unmarked and excellent overall, pink generic shoes. Body is excellent overall except missing her right thumb, marked Princess Grace Doll Inc. TWIST 'N TURN BARBIE: but she does not twist; her body is non twisting! She has beautiful long silky brown hair and bangs, perfect original face paint, near mint body overall. Her neck is marked Hong Kong as well as the body. She wears a generic red top (top snap in back is torn away but still holds closed), skirt and boots. Very pretty clone! $25 photo photo photo photo

FRIENDS OF BARBIE CLONES:

SINDY: Cute doll marked Hong Kong on her back, original face paint shows one eyebrow a little lighter than other and a few crooked eyelashes but they are all there, very nice hair complete with added gold ribbon. Her dress is near mint with "Made in Hong Kong" label inside and shoes. Her body is near mint overall, very cute doll! $25 photo photo

TUESDAY TAYLOR: beautiful doll with rotating hair to allow for blonde or brunette style. She has original face paint with full rooted eyelashes, excellent body with left elbow not holding position otherwise perfect. She wears her original swimsuit, mini skirt and white heels. $15 photo photo

LILLI CLONES:

HONG KONG LILLI: 11 1/2" tall, marked on her back, Made in Hong Kong, original face paint is near mint overall with only the tips of her eyebrows being a bit light otherwise very pretty. Her hair is very nice, a warm tone of bronze color with replaced bands. She wears blue satin slacks and floral top with gripper snap closure in front. The body is excellent overall. PLEASE NOTE: The shoes and boots included with clone outfits often do not fit consistently from doll to doll. The generic Barbie look-a-like dolls had different sized feet, so the shoes and boots may or may not work with your doll.
