1960 BLONDE PONYTAIL #3 ISSUE: beautiful doll with very thick and full hair & tons of curly bangs. She had her original bands still in when I got her but they were crackled into bits so have been replaced with new bands. Her hair is very long, down to her butt and all there, no pulled off ends or trimmings, just fabulous hair! The face paint has had a little restoration, mainly a color wash to the eyebrows and lip color enhanced to match original. She has blushed cheeks and a very pale pink cast still visible over her face, very pretty coloring for a number 3. The very tip of the nose shows a microscopic dent (VERY minor but I will mention it anyway's; I'm not sure but this may be factory original). She still has gray eyeshadow and her eyeliner is rose colored. The body is faded in various stages from cream to pale pink and pure white under the thigh joints. There is a pale stain line over her feet from shoe dyes, otherwise overall very nice. Her original swimsuit is in good condition but seems stretched out on the top and shows light soiling. $495 photo photo photo photo photo photo

1960 BLONDE PONYTAIL #3 ISSUE: fantastic doll with original paint with the exception of light wash to enhance the lips, rose colored eyeliner and gray eyeshadow. There is a hint of blush on her cheeks. I also noticed she has rose color liner under the eyes which does not seem as common as most have no liner under the eyes. The tip of her nose has a little tiny microscopic dent which I'm beginning to think may have been factory original as so many have this but yet is hard to see. Her hair looks full and she has a nicely curled tail with replaced bands. The bangs are full of little curls stacked neatly in rows. The tail feels a little thin but I don't think it has been trimmed and the length of the tail looks normal. She wears original gold hoop earrings and swimsuit (near mint-mint). The body is paling at random from white to pale creamy pink but her face is especially light being almost white. Her legs have faded to white from the feet upwards to about mid calf, then turn pinkish. It looks like she may have had stockings or mid calf pants, something that exposed her bottom legs to light. 1960 BRUNETTE PONYTAIL #3 ISSUE: beautiful doll with original paint with exception of light wash to lips to match original. She has beautiful eyebrows, gray eyeshadow, rose eyeliner & lightly blushed cheeks. She wears replacement safety pearl earrings that will not cause green staining. Her earring holes are dark just inside the hole but no green stains. One is shown in the close up and shows a little more darkness than the other but is well hidden by the earrings. Her hair is full length with a nice long tail with replaced bands. Her bangs are also very full with rows of little curls. The body is excellent overall with fading from cream to white and some areas of pinkish white. There are some factory brown specks at random on her back torso and back of left thigh. Her feet show light stains from old shoe dyes. Her original swimsuit is lightly soiled and there are some thread pops in the hems, overall a beautiful doll. $625 photo photo photo photo photo photo photo

BLONDE PONYTAIL #5 ISSUE: Very sweet face on this girl with very pretty hair and full curly bangs. She has a replacement rubber band in the top & bottom of her tail. Barbie has perfectly gorgeous face paint, all original with bright red lips and smoky gray eyeshadow. Her medium brown eyebrows are perfect. No ear stains or other facial problems. Body: 2 pin dots of gray on the back of her left leg and one on the right, otherwise excellent overall. She is wearing "Dusty Doll's" aqua knit swimsuit, in excellent condition. $300 photo photo photo

BARBIE NUMBER 6 & LATER PONYTAILS:

TITIAN (RED HEAD) PONYTAIL #6 ISSUE: Beautiful doll with all original face paint. Her hair is very soft and shiny, untouched, bottom band replaced, very full bangs & original top knot and so hard to find in this condition. There is a streak of oxidization on the right side of her hair, appearing darker red in that area. Her face is gorgeous with perfect sienna eyebrows, medium coral lip coloring. She has a faint bit of discoloration just in her right earring hole & you will need to strain your eyes to see this. No other facial problems. Body: faint gray speck on left knee otherwise excellent with no obvious flaws. She wears a generic red knit swimsuit in excellent condition. $345 photo photo photo

TITIAN (RED HEAD) PONYTAIL #6 ISSUE: Very pretty face on this doll all original paint with exception of one speck of lip color retouched on upper right edge of her deep coral lips. Her eyebrows are perfect deep sienna. She has full curly bangs and retied tail with upper and lower rubber bands replaced. No ear stains or other facial problems. Body: no obvious flaws, near mint overall. She wears a yellow knit generic swimsuit in excellent condition. $350 photo photo photo

1972 MONTGOMERY WARDS ANNIVERSARY BARBIE PONYTAIL: This very rare and hard to find doll was made for Montgomery Ward’s 100^th Anniversary in 1972. Mattel reissued this doll in the likeness of the first issue (number one) Barbie. The body more closely resembles a 1964 issue ponytail and the skin tone is dark tan. This doll is marked with the traditional Midge/Barbie markings. Her hair is saran fiber as later issue ponytails and has the unusual “surprised look” eyebrows. She is near mint-mint overall, never played with-only used for display, all original paint perfect gorgeous doll, replaced rubber band in lower ponytail, has no finger nail or toe paint (this doll was not issued with toe or nail paint), wears original production zebra swimsuit, mint condition & original white mules. $225 photo photo

1961 BLACK HAIR or RAVEN BUBBLE CUT: jet black hair color tightly curled bubble with stunning face paint, all original and perfect with deep red lips, gray eyeshadow & perfect eyebrows. She has no vinyl face flaws, legs have light specks of gray and green (looks like misty discoloration but is hard to see and I have not seen this kind of discoloration before). She wears her original zebra swimsuit in excellent condition. Gorgeous doll! $148 photo photo

1961 BLACK HAIR or RAVEN BUBBLE CUT: rare hair color, gorgeous doll with all original face paint includes bright red lips, perfect eyebrows and smoky eyeshadow. Only body issue is a slight rub/dent on the left breast otherwise a near perfect gorgeous doll. Zebra swimsuit included & is faded but otherwise excellent condition. $145 photo photo

1965 RED HEAD BUBBLE CUT: huge bubble cut hair on this very unusual doll. Her face paint is all original and perfect. The lip color is hard to describe but it is very neutral with a hint of pale yellow as you see on American Girl dolls of the same period. She looks a bit plain with this lip color but since it is so rare to find this color on Bubble Cuts and since it is also pristine and original, I would consider her a treasure in the world of Bubble Cuts. Her body is excellent overall. $200 photo photo

FASHION QUEEN BARBIE: set includes Fashion Queen Barbie doll, very pretty with perfect face paint, coral lips have color wash to match original otherwise all original paint, body is excellent with small scuffs on right torso breast area otherwise fine, wears mint navy Mattel swimsuit. ASH BLONDE SWIRL PONYTAIL: original face paint with coral lips color washed to match original fading lips, otherwise a beautiful face with perfect eyebrows. Her hair is very thick and full, shiny with full length tail. The bands are replaced. Her left earring hole is dark just inside the hole & the other shows is perfect. Her body is excellent overall with light stains on her feet from old shoe dyes, otherwise very nice. She wears her original swimsuit (missing stitching in the neckline & leg hems). $200 photo photo photo photo

STRAWBERRY BLONDE SWIRL PONYTAIL: a fabulous doll from my own personal collection with all original face paint. This one is very unusual with lip color to match her hair. The lips are yellow with just maybe a hint of peach. Her face paint is perfect and stunning! The hair color is strawberry blonde, shiny and long with a full tail. Her bands are replaced. The body is excellent overall & she wears her original swimsuit ( some thread missing from the leg hem otherwise nice). This one is truly a jewel! $375 photo photo photo photo photo

1967-1968 BROWNETTE TWIST N TURN BARBIE: very nice full hair although looks a little uneven so could have some trimmed at random, still very long with replaced band and missing ribbon, lips are color washed to match original, eyebrow tips touched up, full eyelashes and light blush. Body: near mint overall. Includes original flip twist n turn swimsuit excellent with threads pops on back of leg hems & back opening. $75 photo photo

1967-1968 BROWNETTE TWIST N TURN BARBIE: gorgeous long shiny hair with tons of bangs, replaced band & missing ribbon, face is sweet with restored lip color to coral, perfect brows and full eyelashes. Facial tone is evenly pink. Body: right ankle has a few pricks otherwise near mint overall. Original Talking Barbie swimsuit top included, near mint. $125 photo photo

1967-1968 BRUNETTE TWIST N TURN BARBIE: nice long hair with replaced tail band & missing ribbon, pretty face with color washed lips (to match original color), light blush, perfect eyebrows & full eyelashes. 1972 WALK LIVELY BARBIE: pretty doll with long silky hair, original face paint is perfect with full eyelashes and nicely blushed cheeks. Body: scuff on upper lip, legs have lots of scuffs and a vinyl tear on the side of right leg, ankles & feet have dents and split on bottom of right foot. Original Mattel Best Buy #7813, top: faded and small hole in front (1/4"), soiled lightly, stitching popped on back and some missing, pants (excellent with small gray spot on front leg (1/8") otherwise very nice). $15 photo photo

1971 MALIBU BARBIE: near mint doll with gorgeous shiny hair, perfect original face paint, coral lips, teeny pin prick at right ear & two above it near temple (looks like teeny holes from original factory string holding her hair in place) otherwise no flaws to mention. Body is excellent with no obvious flaws. Includes original aqua swimsuit looks great overall with very faint discoloration at random and fabric stiffener around right leg hem (doesn't show but can be felt). $25 photo photo

1971 MALIBU BARBIE: pretty doll with all original perfect face paint including coral lip color, perfect eyebrows, no flaws to mention. Body: left knee no longer clicks otherwise no problems. Includes original aqua swimsuit (1/4" light brown stain under arm & hems look a little rough with repaired stitches otherwise fine). $24 photo photo

1971 MALIBU BARBIE: nice doll with all original perfect face paint, peachy lip color, hair has been trimmed 1/2 inch otherwise full and looks great. Body: feet are warped a bit sideways, small splits in the bottom of her feet & pale gray discoloration on left forearm otherwise no other issues to mention. 1974 GOLD MEDAL OLYMPIC BARBIE SKIER MALIBU: beautiful Malibu doll with thick, silky hair, perfect all original face paint, little roughness on inside of left hand & inside of left arm/shoulder joint has been repaired (not visible from outside of body/this was done to repair broken joint inside shoulder), otherwise excellent doll. 1974 NEWPORT BARBIE THE SPORTS SET: pretty Malibu with shiny golden blonde hair, Face paint all original with bright peach lips, gray speck near hairline on forehead (hair will cover)(common factory flaw with these Malibu dolls), body excellent with couple of indents in right ankle and several in left (these are hard to see), 1/8" tear in back of right knee and does not hold position, two piece bikini included (bottoms are yellowed some) otherwise very nice, sailor top & pants (both yellowed but pants are worse (show light staining as well). 1974 SUN VALLEY BARBIE: lots of golden blonde hair on this girl. She has all original face paint with peach lips & blushed cheeks. Body looks great with a few indents in the right & left foot, 1/4" tear in her heel glued, otherwise no problems. Includes her ski suit with attached belt and fur trimmed hooded jacket with orange ski boots, all clothes and accessories near mint-mint. $30 photo photo

1975 BARBIE WINTER SPORTS SET SEARS EXCLUSIVE: Malibu doll with light blonde shiny hair, all original face paint perfect, body has no obvious flaws to mention, includes ski suit, hat, number (all excellent-near mint) and "after skiing fashion" beige knit top & knit plaid midi skirt (both mint), very rare and hard to find doll $45 photo photo

Face paint is perfect and original with peach lips, has earring holes at each ear (super tiny and lightly discolored but overall barely noticeable), few gray specks on face at random (this is common with these Malibu dolls and is very hard to see without a magnifier), also some light gray specks on legs (again very hard to see). 1978 MALIBU BARBIE NRFB: beautiful doll made from the Stacey head mold, Canadian issue doll comes with cello around head, exotic print swimsuit, mint packaging with only a small 1/2" tear at foot tab & dried sticker adhesive under bottom of acetate window, otherwise looks like it's fresh from the factory. $100 photo photo

1978 BARBIE SUN LOVIN MALIBU: very pretty doll with golden blonde hair, turquoise eyes and eyeshadow to match her swimsuit, faded gray speck over right eyebrow (factory vinyl flaw common with these dolls), wears two piece bikini (mint), tan lines show wear since these wear away over the years, otherwise gorgeous doll! $15 photo photo

1973 QUICK CURL BARBIE: beautiful doll overall in near mint condition with original face paint. Her hair no longer stays curled yet there is curling filament visible. She will need it restyled with curlers and hot water in order to get it to stay curled & there is lots of length to work with. Body: right big toe has crease otherwise no flaws. Dress: original and near mint with a few tiny snags in right sleeve. $40 photo photo

1974 SWEET 16: near mint overall with no obvious flaws, beautiful hair and face paint is perfect, wears original dress (excellent - near mint), yellow tee shirt (missing 16), makeup case is empty. $40 photo photo

1975 FREE MOVING BARBIE: sweet face on this girl with perfect face paint and shiny hair. Her hair has been trimmed but still displays very well. Body: torso has 1/2" scratch & roughness, melts on crotch area from hips otherwise excellent overall. Original skirt has no elasticity in waist band otherwise is near mint, top is Tennis #7842, excellent with light discoloration on back, tennis shoes. $12 photo photo

1976 SUPERSTAR BARBIE MINT IN BOX: gorgeous Superstar Barbie is in mint condition but has been removed and displayed. She is complete with all of her jewelry (necklace, earrings & ring), mint satin gown, silver/hot pink boa & shoes. Original two piece star pink stand is included, purple box liner looks near mint - mint. Box: shows wear, creasing on top front panel and corners, wear to edges, top flap has been glued at tab and is missing one section tab that folds under back of box, acetate window has light scratching, small area of graphics missing on top right front from price sticker removal. $195 photo photo photo

1977 BARBIE AND HER SUPER FASHION FIREWORKS NRFB: Kresge Store Special: Rare gift set never removed from the package features a Barbie made from the Stacey head mold, non bending knees, wearing a tangerine tricot swimsuit. 1978 SUPERSTAR PICTURE PRETTY BARBIE NRFB: mint in box condition (only removed for these photos), Superstar doll, rare and very hard to find version. Here's a beauty wearing a very pretty gown made from butterscotch chiffon over nylon and accented with a gold metallic bodice and gold sequin trim. Gorgeous set & one of my favorite Superstar dolls! The box is excellent overall, shows minor shelf wear on the edges, has graphics missing from the top front edge from price sticker removal, 1/2" tear in the bottom flap, otherwise looks great. $325 photo photo photo

1979 BALLERINA BARBIE: very pretty doll with high color face paint & lots of hair with curled ringlet at side. Body: both knees are glued in back but only the left knee does not hold pose (close up photos show this). She still will display perfectly from the front. There is also a little nick out of the rim of her neck on the side and this looks factory done. I see no evidence of a split or rough play. 1971-1973 FRANCIE WITH GROWIN PRETTY HAIR: beautiful doll with all original face paint, heavily blushed cheeks, very long full eyelashes and beautiful hair. Tail no longer retracts. Body: neck knob is broken inside and is only half there but hair is still held tight through this knob. Face is paled overall with lighter paling under left side curl, pink discoloration (from old clothing dyes) on left upper leg but not real noticeable. Original dress included, thread pops at left armhole and lame shows wear on shoulders, netting has few tears at bottom edge and taffeta shirt has small spot of discoloration. $48 photo photo

1968 TWIST N TURN SKIPPER NRFB Titian hair color, all original never removed from the box. Her arms are paled but her face and body look evenly pink. She's a beauty; comes with her original swimsuit, headband, stand, wrist tag & booklet. The cello on the front of the box is slit near her hand/waist area about 3 inches and another slit at the bottom from the stand poking through about 3 inches, otherwise the box is mint overall as well as the cello minus slits. POSE N PLAY SKIPPER 1972 BAGGIE MINT IN PACKAGE: pristine doll in original package, removed only once for this photo. She still has her original cello around her head, wrist tag, mint outfit and hair ribbons, mint doll overall. I checked her limbs and only the left arm seems frozen otherwise the rest work, not sure why it would matter since she most likely would be displayed as is. Original clear bag was so cloudy that I wanted to remove her for the picture, carefully opening the staples so there is really no sign of removal. 1969 TALKING KEN IN BOX: excellent display piece as described: doll looks near mint overall with perfect face & hair paint. His head does not turn as if it is frozen or glued on, so I left it alone. The legs are also frozen at the hips, arms move fine. Two piece original red jacket and trunks are mint. Talker is mute. Box: Ken is displayed in a clear window box that looks excellent overall. There is a clear acetate panel that is molded to hold is head in place inside this window. The blue cardboard liner inside the box is missing a flap at the bottom but this is not noticeable. The outer box has two tears above the clear window and one is glued. The bottom green cardboard frame is torn off at lower front but again isn't real noticeable due to the design of this box. The side panel has a crease down the center from being crushed lightly and there is a large area of graphics torn off the back of the box. Still a nice piece to display Ken in. $30 photo photo photo
